The Honest Section
Three things that didn’t work.
One-day assemblies (2019).
Measured effect after 8 weeks: none. We rebuilt everything around repeated classroom lessons instead.
Anonymous-only reporting boxes (2021).
Reports rose, follow-up stalled. Boxes stay — but the named-adult pathway is now the primary channel.
Punishment-first policies (ongoing).
Schools that lead with exclusion see incidents go underground. Module 05 exists because of this data.
In their words.
Collected with consent during program evaluation. Names withheld — always.
“I used the exact words from Module 01. My teacher stopped everything and listened.”
— Student, Age 11
“Being an upstander felt impossible until we practiced it. Now it’s just what our class does.”
— Student, Age 14
“The charter is ours. We wrote it. That’s why people follow it.”
— Student, Age 16
How we measure.
Anonymous student surveys before Module 01 and eight weeks after Module 06, plus incident-log counts, matched term to term. No cherry-picking: every enrolled school is in the dataset, including the ones where it didn’t work.
Dataset, 2025
